Hi there! And thank you for visiting my site. My name is Staci Merrell. I am a married to a wonderful man, Roger K. Merrell, Jr. and we currently live in Puyallup, Washington. We have four children ages 14-23. Aside from being a wife and mother my husband calls me a professional "Hobbyist". And these are the reasons why;

I have been a Real Estate Agent since 1997 representing both buyers and sellers. Although it seemed for a long time that I would get the clients that a lot of agents did not want. The one’s that would turn out to be “challenged buyers” . They would require a lot more work with the possibility of not even qualifying to buy a home.

 I on the other hand, I did take this as challenge; I felt everyone deserved the un-judgemental help of their past or present hardships. When I would meet with a client that had previous hardships in one way or another, and that had been told "NO, NO, NO" they didn't qualify, I went out of my way to help them obtain whatever documentation required for them to succeed with being a part of the American dream--A“Homeowner”.

 I found it to be such a Gratifying experience. To be to able to hand someone the keys to, (usually), their first home which they thought it would be unattainable if they had listen to all the "No, No, No’s".  As you may guess, it wasn't for the money. The time requirement to help these clients far outweighed the commission. Fortunately, Thanks to my husband, we never needed my commissions to suppot the household. Lord knows if we did, we would all be starving...lol.

And now this leads to my next Hobby....

With a love and a passion for decorating, my family was getting tired of the constant changes I would make in our own home. So I made a decision in 2000 to open “Staci's Specialties”. I first started with buying at furniture wholesale pricing. "My thought were”,  it doesn't matter who you are, when you purchase a new home,  ya just want new furniture to go into it! I wanted to offer more services to my clients at a fraction of the cost. Over the past ten years, I have continued to add flooring, granite, tile and cabinets at wholesale priceing which in turn, are a big savings-- and these are not limited to Real Estate clients, I sell to anybody!!  (Furniture is special ordered. Viewing through websites or catalogs, contact me for more information.)

To my surprise, there are quite a number of people that cannot vision room changes and colors. I have also found this to be very "Gratifying" to help transform ones, cold and outdated room or house to a warm, inviting, stylish and comfortable one. that they are proud to call their own. This is where my family really benefits... It allows me to remodel and re-decorate someone else’s home without AS MANY inconveniences to ours.

I am able to take a picture of your actual room or the outside of your house and showyou the vision with color. If you need cabinetry, whether its kitchen, bath, office or built-ins, I can take your dimensions and provide you with several angles including 3-d of the improvement(s).

My next Hobby...

Photography. My husband is a Baseball Coach at Emerald Ridge High School. When my oldest son was a senior and playing his last year in 2006, I wanted to capture a few memorable moments. So I bought my first SLR camera. WOW. To my surprise, I love this too! I could not believe how many pictures I took that year and even more how good they actually we're. Our youngest son also plays competitive baseball and that same year they qualified for the 10u "World Series" in Chino Hills, CA. I was able to capture some unbelievable memories, not for just him-but for the team.

I love the game of baseball! I am a baseball mom!  I have had my fights with a few umpires for them to finally allow me to be in the dugout or designated area’s in the field to "capture" the perfect shot. I continue to take pictures of my youngest son’s team and also those of the High School Varsity Team. I take roughly 15k-20k pictures a year combined with the two teams, granted they are sequential, but they tell the story.

Over the last five years I have tried to make something special and memorable for every Senior Baseball Player. Whether it would be a memory book or a poster. The "Gratification" I get once again, to see the expression of the Senior (and their parents) when they see the poster or thumb through the book, and they in turn come to me and give me hug to say "Thank You is worth every bit of freezing off my rear end in the early-mid season of baseball in Washington and the PNW; to the hours it takes to sort through the thousand of the previous years pictures to find theirs to make the most of their memories on ERHS Baseball team.

A side from my own photography, if you have a special occasion coming up, a  Graduation, Wedding, Anniversary,  fun for a party or just a semi/formal event, I will take your own personal photos and memories and put them to music. Preferable with a song list of your choice. But if you don't have one, I can choose one. My Memory DVD’s are not just a slide show to music, but rather memories arranged in a timeline to a music that will be memorable for years to come.

This being said...After the many request from various parents and relatives, I have decided with the many thousands of pictures of past and present, which few people have seen,  to finally upload them for viewing or purchases. They are for sale as will be posters, books, mugs, T-shirts etc.  If you have something in mind, please email me with a special request.

Watch for an upcoming “Hobby” and informational products for college recruiting.

Well Folks... This pretty much describes my role as a "Hobbyist" hope you enjoy viewing your child or loved one and if I can be of any service to you please do not hesitate to contact me.
